We built Gift Card Guard because we kept finding our own cards expired in a wallet or a random photo, and we figured a lot of people were doing the same thing.

Gift Card Guard: Expiry Wallet was designed around one non-negotiable principle: your card photos, barcodes, claim codes, and balances belong to you alone. This policy explains, in plain language, exactly what that means.
Information We Collect
We collect none. Gift Card Guard does not ask for your name, email, location, or any personal identifier, and it never requests access to contacts, browsing history, or financial accounts. The card details you add — photos, barcodes, claim codes, and balances — are entered by you, for you, and are never transmitted to us.
How We Use Information
Because nothing is collected, nothing is analyzed, profiled, or sold. There is no advertising engine reading your card data, no behavioral tracking, and no usage analytics being shipped off your device for us to review.
Data Storage
Every card photo, barcode, claim code, and balance you save is stored locally in the app's storage on your device only. There is no cloud sync, no remote backup server, and no account system tying your vault to an identity we could access.
Third-Party Services
Gift Card Guard does not integrate third-party analytics kits, advertising networks, or tracking pixels. No outside company receives a copy of your card information, and none is embedded in the app to quietly collect it.
Data Security
Because your card data never leaves your device, it is never exposed to network interception, server breaches, or third-party data leaks. Your device's own security — passcode, biometrics, encryption — is the only layer protecting your vault, exactly as it should be.
Children's Privacy
Gift Card Guard does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children, because it does not collect data from anyone at all. The app contains no account creation, no forms sent externally, and no mechanism to gather personal information regardless of the user's age.
Your Control
You are always in full control of your vault. There are no accounts to manage or delete, because none exist. To remove every trace of your data, simply delete individual cards within the app, or uninstall Gift Card Guard entirely — this permanently erases all locally stored information.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy is ever updated to reflect new features or clarifications, the revised version will be published within the app with a new effective date. Continued use of Gift Card Guard after an update means you accept the revised terms.
